Tasting Notes:
The term Vintage Select denotes our “reserve” tier Pinot Noir. Half from traditional sites in the Upper Vineyard and half from the Lower Vineyard, this Pinot Noir represents our premier achievements in both grape-growing and winemaking. Upon opening one is greeted with wonderfully fresh aromas of dried herbs, purple flowers, forest floor, perfume and spice; with underlying notes of black fruits. In the mouth the wine shows ample mouthfeel that continues to broaden with air. Stewed cherries, strawberries and currants round-out a quite full palate with subtle nuances of more dried herbs, aged leather and spice box. If enjoyed in its youth decanting is recommended; though one will be seriously pleased with 1-2 years of continued cellaring. A total of 319 cases were bottled.
