The Wine: AlexEli Wines
The Team: The Odd Ensemble
The Score: N/A

Round 7 of the 2012 Tasting Games featured a guest tasting team.
The Odd Ensemble joined our NW Wine Correspondent, Allie Merrick,
at her dining room table to try three lovely white wines from AlexEli.
Owner & winemaker, Phil Kramer, joined the broadcast to talk about
the following lineup:
All agreed that all three wines had an incredible level of acid that the team favored.
Beyond that, the variation & depth of character in each bottle was enjoyed by all.
10 thumbs up (2 thumbs up from each participating taster) were given to AlexEli.Tweet
A Pinot To Be Proud Of
Monday, September 24th 2012 by NW Wine Correspontent - Allie Merrick
Here's the story on the Winter's Hill Vineyard 2006 Cuvee du Vigneron.
For Round 9 of the Northwest Wines to You 2012 Tasting Games, Joey Finkbeiner and his tasting team, Vino de Paisano, sipped three selections of wine from Winter's Hill Vineyard - the 2011 Pinot Gris, the 2008 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir and the 2006 Cuvee du Vigneron Pinot Noir.

Q: Which was their favorite of the night?
A: 2006 Cuvee du Vigneron Pinot Noir
Here's their official review:
This definitely seemed like something the vintner would be proud of. Body was near perfect for what a pinot should be all about. Nose gave us full round aroma, berries, "luscious" and smelled like it would be a great sipper. Made my mouth water. On our 5 scale, we rated this a 4.5+.A special thanks to Vino de Paisano for tasting with us!

Looking for a good value on a great Viognier? Look no further.
Witness Tree Vineyard is selling their 2009 Viognier for $10 per bottle.
As if there weren't enough, you can get it for even less when you purchase a case for $100!
Regular price for this wine is $15 per bottle.
Here's the catch. This deal is ONLY available at their tasting room.
Sounds like a great excuse to me for making a trip over to the Witness Tree Vineyard Tasting Room!
