Tasting Notes:
“A minor vintage claret. Subtle perfumes build in the glass (I’m presently enjoying this bottling as much on the day after it’s been first open). Just medium in weight, and gentle---this was 2008 in the Gorge (showery September, cool ripening period, fruit just ripe by Halloween), which called for tenderness at the press. Mellow and savory, there are scents of muddled dark fruits, leather, perhaps a sprig of mint…. The usually muted acidity was left unadjusted, a fact I may come to regret; I was too curious, though, so we can all just observe the evolution together. A wine to drink young, probably.”  ~ Brian McCormick, Winemaker
