2009 Tinto

About This Product

70% Tempranillo 25% Syrah 5% Grenache

Vineyards:
Meadowlark Hills, Paradox and Upper Five (all Rogue Valley)

Production: 350 cases

The goal with the “Tinto” is to make a wine that has the structure and earth of “Old World” wines with some of the sweet fruit that is prevalent in “New World” wines.  The Tempranillo is all about herbs, earth, dried cherries, and abundant tannins.  The Syrah brings in lush and intense blueberry fruit with aromas of bacon. The Grenache brings a nuance of strawberry preserves and white pepper.  This is a fun wine that is meant for the dinner table or the backyard barbecue.
