2009 Pinot Noir Zenith Vineyard

About This Product

Production: 70 cases

The Zenith Vineyard is just 3 miles (as a crow flies) from the Bjornson Vineyard yet the wines couldn’t be more different.  The Zenith is all about prettiness and elegance where as the Bjornson is muscular and brawny.  That said, this wine is no lightweight.  It has great concentration and texture.  The nose is full of red cherries and strawberry with graham crackers and cinnamon.  The palate is lush and broad with loads of sweet red cherry highlighted by some savory spices (thanks to 20% whole cluster fermentation).  There are a lot of highly polished textured tannins in this wine that hold it nicely to a fruity and spicy finish. This wine will age well, but it should be consumed within 8 years.
