As pioneers in the Oregon wine industry, the Durant family established the first of their vineyards in 1973.The Red Hills of Dundee offer a unique microclimate that provides long, warm days with cool evenings that allow the grapes to slowly ripen and develop unique complexity. The vines are dry farmed with minimal intervention, producing world class grapes. Our 60+ acre vineyard is comprised of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay varietals. Each year we craft wine from special vineyard blocks that reflect the true character of the land. We are extremely involved in farming the land and employ careful and sustainable agriculture techniques. Our family’s goal over the past three decades has remained the same: to raise high-quality grapes to create superior wines.
Oregon Olive MillThe Oregon Olive Mill was completed in the fall of 2008. The structure houses our state- of-the-art olive pressing facility, oil storage area, bottling line, and impressive event room available for rent. Over the past five years, we have planted a total of 13,000 olive trees over 17 acres in the Dundee Hills. The varietals planted thus far, include: Arbequina, Leccino, Mission, Pendolino, Koroneiki, and Picual, as well as several others we are experimenting with. Each type of olive produces a distinctive flavor, and our hope is to have a diverse selection for making into oils. The Oregon olive harvest takes place in mid- late November. Our Italian mill has the ability to process over 1,000 lbs of olives per hour, making it the largest commercial operation in the Pacific Northwest. We have been pressing oil from our Oregon grown olives since 2008. Our oils are supplemented with fruit sourced from Northern California.
